LAOAG CITY, June 17–Wilmer Domingo and his friend Robin Morgado were attacked by gunmen riding in tandem near the garbage dumpsite at Brgy. Lagui-Sail, this city, lawmen said.
Major Artemio Clemente of the Laoag PNP station reported that the victims went to the sanitary landfill to dump some waste materials.
While on their way home downhill aboard their improvised tricycle called kurong-kurong, the suspects fired at them and fled the scene leaving the victims bloodied on the road.
Domingo was shot on his right side of the body and hand while Morgado was hit in the leg.
Both were rushed to the provincial hospital here for treatment of their gunshot wounds.
The SOCO team found at the crime scene four cartridges and two slugs for bullets of Caliber .45 pistol.
Monalisa Cantillado, live-in-partner of Domingo, told investigators that two motorcyclists earlier were said to be looking for Wilmer before the incident. (tri-media report)
