SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte, Nov. 9, 2020– A certain Antonio Bonilla, 49, of Brgy. 6, this town was allegedly shot to death while urinating near a cornfield, police said on Friday.
P/Lt. Godofredo Ribuyaco, the town deputy police chief, said the victim had a drinking spree with two friends at about 10:00 in the evening.
To relieve his bladder, he went to a nearby cornfield and urinated.
At this juncture, a burst of gunfire rang out.
The bloodied victim shouted for help saying he was shot until he collapsed to the ground.
Investigators said the victim died on the spot due to gunshot wounds on the jaw and other parts of the body.
They surmised the weapon used in the shooting was a shotgun rifle.
Investigators said they were looking from all angles to determine the motive behind the slaying. (tri-media report)
