Fleeing INPJ escapee recaptured in P’gasinan

Now locked in isolation room

LAOAG CITY, Sept. 6, 2019– Pursuing government troopers recaptured fleeing escapee Medy Laudencia in his hiding place in Brgy. Pita, Infanta, Pangasinan, lawmen said.

Jail Warden Benilda Sadian said the recaptured escapee, upon return to the province, was immediately locked in an isolation room of the Ilocos Norte Provincial Jail as part of the prison policy for any jailbreakers.

She told the media that a report about the jailbreak and the recapture of the escapee was already submitted to Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc.

Reports said Laudencia, who is facing a statutory rape case, went into hiding in Infanta, Pangasinan after he escaped from the INPJ last August 31 by boring a hole in the prison concrete wall using a stone during the heavy rains.

Credited for the recapture of Laudencia were the police operatives of Infanta and Mabini towns in Pangasinan, CIDG, and INPJ guards. (tri-media report)
