BURGOS, Ilocos Norte, May 31 (PIA) — The Schools Division of Ilocos Norte and the local government unit (LGU) of Burgos launched the “21st Century Learning Environment Model (CLEM)” on May 27 at Burgos Agro-industrial School and Burgos Central Elementary School.

Through this innovation, each of the school is equipped with ICT-integrated facilities and learning equipment.

This includes four computer kiosks and computer desktops, 50 tablets, robotic kits, 10 units of mini drones, 3D filament, 3D printer, Epson interactive projectors, visualizer/document camera, Knez build model, Wi-Fi connections, augmented reality check, and Wi-Fi printer and connectors.

During the inauguration, school teachers and principals are treated with orientation and live demonstration of the equipment in which they are eager to try and test out.

Schools Division Superintendent Vilma Eda commended LGU Burgos, headed by Mayor Rodolfo Garcia, for their support for transformative education. Burgos has allocated P8 million from the Special Education Fund in establishing the two classrooms and materials needed.

“The municipality of Burgos has programmed to put up 21st century classrooms every year until all schools are modernized,” Eda said in local dialect.

The superintendent hopes other local government will also be encouraged in partnering with the SDOIN for the development of classrooms and school gadgets.

“May this inspire all of us to level up and we wish Burgos more progress in the future,” Eda added.

The modernized classroom will be utilized in time for the opening of classes on June 3. (Ma. Joreina Therese A. Blanco/MJTAB PIA-Ilocos Norte)
