BACARRA, Ilocos Norte, June 3, 2021–BFP authorities reported that an accidental fire burned a funeral parlor in Brgy. Corocor, this town at noontime break yesterday.

Luckily, there was no cadaver for embalming at the time of the incident.
Investigation showed that the fire quickly engulfed the parlor due to strong wind that fanned the flame and aggravated by the extremely hot weather.

The mini-fire was reported to the BFP-Bacarra at 12:25 noon and declared fire out at 1:11 p.m.

The fire also destroyed the parlor’s funeral car and stock room.

Investigators theorized that the fire probably emanated from a burning compost pit located about six meters away from the parlor.

The value of the damaged property was not yet determined. (tri-media report)
