BACARRA, Ilocos Norte, Sept. 7, 2020–An 88-year-old father and his son, 48, hacked each other in a bolo fight yesterday dawn at Brgy. Sangil, this town, a police report said.
P/Captain Dionisio Baldillo, the town police chief, said the father first hacked his son injuring his right arm and two legs.
The son retaliated inflicting injuries to his father’s hand, leg and upper part of the body, Captain Baldillo added.
Both victims were rushed to the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital in Batac City for treatment of their injuries.
Initial investigation showed that the duo probably had a misunderstanding during a drinking bout before bedtime.
The victims are non-residents of this town but both temporarily lived here to oversee an ongoing barangay project, investigators said.(tri-media report)
