PINILI, Ilocos Norte, Feb. 26 — “OIC PD S/S Sterling Blanco ordered our police chief here to provide me with police security escort,” Pinili Vice Mayor Rommel Labasan said today.
Labasan reportedly eluded suspected gunmen riding in tandem yesterday while he was driving his red-plate SUV in Lang-ayan, Currimao town.
He said he had a death threat earlier prompting him to connect it to yesterday’s ambush attempt against him. (VA/bbr)
