Two men allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves in separate incidents in Solsona, Ilocos Norte, and Laoag City, it was learned from the police on Feb. 21, 2021.
P/Captain Chris Anthony Sorsano, the Solsona police chief, said the suicide victim in his area was a 26-year-old husband of an OFW now employed in Jeddah, (Middle East).
He said the victim suffered depression when his wife seldom talked to him online causing his apparent loneliness.
In Laoag, police said the victim, a 44-year-old construction worker, hanged himself inside his house.
Investigators said the victim had quarreled with his wife due to jealousy.
The husband had suspected that his wife had an illicit affair with another man. (tri-media report)
