PIDDIG, Ilocos Norte, Jan. 8, 2020–Cpl. Calixto Relard Esteban of the Philippine Army found three rifle grenades floating off the river at Brgy. Libnaoan, this town, police said.
Esteban, who was vacationing here in his hometown, went swimming with several friends when he spotted the floating explosives wrapped in a banana stalk.
He turned over the grenades to the municipal PNP station here through police Capt. Christopher King Ramos for proper disposal. (tri-media report)
