SARRAT, Ilocos Norte, March 11– An 18-year-old lover allegedly committed suicide by drinking poison after he had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend, a belated report said.
Investigators under C/I Roldan Suitos, town police chief, said relatives found the victim sprawled on his room and his mouth bubbled with smelly liquid.
Beside him on the floor was a small bottle of poison, the content emptied, they said.
Rescuers rushed him to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Relatives told the police that the victim and his girlfriend had a quarrel earlier until he became lonely when the GF went away to Manila. (tri-media report)
