BANNA, Ilocos Norte, March 11–Slay suspect Romeo Tungpalan said he fatally hacked his brother-in-law in a fit of anger as the latter berated him while both were having a drinking bout at their residence here.
The suspect told reporters that he attacked his brother-in-law when he lost his temper triggered by the victim’s humiliating words hurled against him.
Chief Inspector Arnel Tabaog, town police chief, said the duo were over drunk until they lost control of their senses.
The victim’s wife also sustained a minor injury in the chin when she tried to pacify the two.
Worried of her small kids’ future, the widow said she could not forgive the suspect and vowed to seek justice until the assailant is prosecuted and jailed. (d.d./tri-media report)
