BATAC CITY, July 22, 2020–Village officials placed six residential houses under lockdown at Sitio Busel, Brgy. Palongpong, this city after a resident there had served as the driver of a nurse tested positive of coronavirus.
Brgy. Chairman Reynaldo Garcia said the lockdown is a precautionary measure against the threat of COVID-19.
He said the driver fetched the nurse in Metro Manila and brought her home to Ilocos Norte.
Upon his return home in Batac, the driver reportedly went to a nearby Sitio and attended the wake of a deceased village mate.
The driver later had a rapid and swab test, the result of which was not yet known at press time.
