San Nicolas public market under lockdown

SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte (Mar. 31) – The town’s public market was placed under lockdown after one of its vendors was tested positive for the COVID-19.

San Nicolas town Mayor Dr. Alfredo Valdez Jr. said that the said market will be closed initially for three days subject to the results of mass swab testing on some 400 vendors and employees of the said market.

San Pedro (Bingao) village chieftain Angelous Ulep said that the COVID-19 positive vendor, tagged as IN-C1031, is a 34-year-old female of his barangay.
Ulep said he had immediately instructed his barangay kagawads and tanods to barricade the patient’s residence and adjacent houses to regulate the people’s daily activities amid the virus menace.

The patient IN-C1031 is currently admitted to the hospital. (tri-media)
