INPJ bans inmates’ visitors w/ cough, cold

LAOAG CITY, Feb. 13, 2020–Persons suffering from cough and cold are strictly prohibited from visiting their loved ones or relatives who are inmates at the Ilocos Norte Provincial Jail, this city due to the Coronavirus threat in the country.

INPJ warden Benilda Sadian said the prohibition is enforced to protect the inmates (PDLs or persons deprived of liberty) from any contamination of the CONVID-19.

Media practitioners who conducted an interview at the INPJ saw that all visitors were compelled to handwash with rubbing alcohol as one precautionary measure against the CONVID menace.

“We’re doing this safety measure to make sure that our PDLs are free from any contamination of the virus”, she said.

It was learned that the schedule of visiting days at the INPJ is every Wednesday and Saturday only. (tri-media report)
