PAOAY, Ilocos Norte April 22, 2021–Froilander Agdeppa, president of Discolandia’s Owners and Managers Association in Brgy. 1, Laoag City was shot and killed by masked men at Brgy. Suba, this municipality, according to P/Major Eddie Suyat, the town police chief.
A police report said that Agdeppa (the victim), 52, widower and a native of Sinait, Ilocos Sur but residing at Discolandia, was jogging at Suba, together with a companion when the assassins aboard a motorcycle and a car fired at them using an assault rifle and a handgun.
Agdeppa succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in the body while his companion emerged unscathed after he jumped into a cliff, Major Suyat told reporters.
Investigators found at the crime scene a total of 15 empty shells of bullets for an M-16 rifle, nine empty shells of bullets for a Caliber .45 pistol, and one deformed bullet.
Police in charge of the ongoing investigation said the suspects were hooded, hence, their faces could not be described by witnesses.
Agdeppa was defined by friends and beer joint-goers as the long icon of Discolandia, the center of nightlife in Laoag City. (tri-media report)
