Coast Guard helps find drowned minor

LAOAG CITY, Oct. 14, 2021–Petty Officer II Enrico Tiburcio, deputy chief of Philippine Coast Guard-Ilocos Norte, reported their ongoing retrieve operation for the alleged drowning victim of Brgy. Metro La Paz, this city.

He said the drowning incident was reported to their PCG station at 4 p.m. Tuesday prompting them to help retrieve the victim’s body.

He added that they braved onto the high seas as part of the retrieve operation but their aluminum boat was no match to the giant waves forcing them to sail back ashore, he said.

To exert all efforts, the Coast Guard said it had alerted the province’s coastal towns to help find the victim’s body in case it washed away in their area. (tri-media report)
