SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte, April 26, 2020–Despite ECQ ban on illegal gambling, a woman and three males played the Chinese game called Mahjong resulting in their arrest.
P/Major Joseph Baltazar, the town police chief, said they seized from the suspects the Mahjong tiles set, four dices, 18 pieces of chips, P4,585 betting money and chairs.
Police operatives collared the suspects aged 49, 51, 53, and 67 while they were on the act of playing Mahjong at Brgy. 8 San Rufino, this town. (tri-media report)
