BADOC, Ilocos Norte, May 21, 2021–P/Major Joseph Tayaban, the town police chief, reported that two OFWs from Puerto Princesa, Palawan were held for questioning at the Border Control checkpoint here for using a fake RT-PCR test result.
He said the subject OFWs tried to enter Ilocos Norte on the allegation that they have an appointment with the Department of Foreign Affairs provincial office at the Robinsons Mall in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.
Police later contacted the Manila Diagnostic Center for OFW and found that the two OFWs were earlier tested positive from the COVID-19.
After their isolation in a facility here, police escorted the suspects back to Metro Manila together with their three companions despite a falsification of public document case was filed against the two suspects. (tri-media report)
