LAOAG CITY’S ANIMAL DISPERSAL PROGRAM

Laoag City Mayor Michael Keon (center) turns over 3 sheep, 1 ram, and 30 native chickens to the Daughters of the Divine Zeal convent represented by Sister Gladys Manuel on January 4, 2022. The turnover was part of the city’s animal dispersal program as the African Swine Fever also hit the congregation’s livelihood project. At least 50 hogs under the Sisters’ care were culled by the city’s anti-ASF Task Force. (Photo courtesy of LC CMO)
