Two suicide cases bad for this week

SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte, March 11, 2020–Robert Paradeza, a stay-in furniture shop worker, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at Brgy. Sta. Cecilia this town, the police authorities here said.

Investigators said a morning passerby found the victim hanging from a mango tree in front of the furniture shop he was working in.

Rojan said his father, the victim, visited him and his mother in their family house at Brgy. 6, Laoag City two days ago.

At that juncture, he said his father showed a death premonition as he unusually hugged him (Rojan) and his mother as if virtually saying goodbye to them.

His dad and mom were long separated due to personal problems, he added.

Meanwhile, on March 12, 2020, at Brgy. San Marcelino, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, a certain Jonathan Anaya y Palomares, 24, single, farmer, ended his life by hanging himself from a mango tree, lawmen said.

Investigators said the victim had a drinking spree with several friends until 9:30 p.m. yesterday.

Upon arriving home, he had an alleged minor quarrel with his younger brother.

The following morning, neighbors found him dead in an apparent suicide.
At press time, however, the police are awaited to rule out a foul play in the incident. (tri-media report)
