Drug suspect killed near By-pass road

LAOAG CITY, Jan. 24, 2020– A suspected drug pusher died from a bullet wound upon arrival in the hospital after an alleged shootout with a police poseur-buyer near the by-pass road at Brgy Pila, this city, lawmen reported.

Lt. Col. Amador Quiocho, city police chief, said the victim, tagged as Top 3 in the drug watch list here, was armed with Caliber .45 pistol when he first fired at the poseur-buyer after he sensed that the latter is a cop during the buy-bust operation.

Unhurt, the cop retaliated hitting the victim, a repeat offender, he added.

He said the operatives later seized from the victim a plastic box containing six sachets of suspected shabu, four empty sachets, P1,000 marked money, cellular phone and a pack of cigarettes. (tri-media report)
