INEC prexy quits his job at the Provincial Capitol

DINGRAS, Ilocos Norte, April 16– Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative board president Enrico “Cocoy” Ruiz has resigned from his post at the Provincial Legal Office, Provincial Capitol, Laoag City.

Reports said Ruiz quit his job at the PLO in order for him to focus more attention on his duties and responsibilities as INEC board head.

Ruiz said he had helped a lot of people during his 17 years in the government service but his new job at INEC is more challenging and wider in scope as the whole province needs his full services at all times.

Ruiz is the son of the late INEC board president Lorenzo Rey Ruiz of Dingras town, who was assassinated at Lang-ayan, Currimao, Ilocos Norte on Sept. 4, 2009.

The elder Ruiz, the victim, was then serving on his 5th year as INEC board head on the time of his death. (tri-media report)
