BATAC CITY, March 20–”I quit illegal drug trade because it’s risky, more so, I am about to retire from service,” an elderly Customs police agent based in Ilocos Norte said.
The Bureau of Customs cop, 62, (Sentinel withheld his name) was detained at the city jail here after lawmen raided his house at dawn and seized from him several sachets of suspected shabu and paraphernalia.
When briefly interviewed by reporters, he denied allegation that “he is a drug pusher” saying “no comment” to the seized drugs. He admitted he tried using prohibited drugs to ease some ailments because he is diabetic.
