BATAC CITY – In an effort to better serve the public by providing convenient and accessible offices, Mayor Jeffrey Jubal Nalupta of this city disclosed a plan to build a new annex building of the present City Hall.
Nalupta said that the proposed building will house the City Veterinary Office, Office of the City Administrator, City Legal Office, City Assessor’s Office, and the General Services Office.
He said the plan is in line with the Local Government Code mandating newly-converted cities to create new offices.
The construction of the proposed four-storey buillding, he said, is expected to start early next year. Some rehabilitation work will also be undertaken in the old building, he added. (Theo guiang)
