Victory Liner Passengers Get Free Sun Broadband Wireless Wi-Fi Access

Bus passengers can now save on their mobile phone expenses by using Sun Broadband Wireless Wi-Fi on board Victory Liner buses to access the Internet for free during long bus rides.

Sun Cellular has initially equipped 50 air-conditioned Victory Liner buses with Sun Broadband Wireless Wi-Fi to allow passengers with Wi-Fi capable gadgets such as mobile phones, laptops and other wireless gadgets to log on to the Internet making travel more productive and entertaining.

“Sun Broadband Wireless enables our passengers to check emails, shop on line, Tweet or simply surf the Web without the need to access their cellular phone service by simply allowing their gadgets to search for available Wi-Fi while riding Victory Liner buses,” Marivic del Pilar, Victory Liner marketing and treasury head, said.

Victory Liner will have the most number of buses with free Wi-Fi after Sun equips its whole fleet of air conditioned buses before the end of the year.

Sun Broadband Wi-Fi is a high capacity wireless Internet solution which offers speeds of up to 2Mbps with unlimited wireless access coverage at the most affordable cost.

“Sun has provided us with a reliable and fast Internet service at the lowest rates possible. This value-added service for our customers makes us the preferred bus line since they can make use of their travelling time wisely,” del Pilar said.

The bus company, which mounts several trips daily to Baguio, Tuguegarao, Dagupan and Olongapo, also has at least 1,500 Sun Cellular mobile postpaid and prepaid accounts used by its workforce.
