PIDDIG, Ilocos Norte, March 10, 2021– Two armed men were killed during an alleged shootout with policemen at Brgy. Arua-ay, this town, lawmen said.
The fatalities, both residents of Vintar town, died on the spot while one policeman sustained a minor gunshot wound in the hand.
Investigators said two Caliber .38 revolvers with ammunition and spent bullet shells were found near the victims’ bodies.
The victims were tagged as alleged gun-for-hire and were suspects in a recent attempted murder, the investigators said.
However, relatives denied the allegation that the two were engaged in gun-for-hire activities. (tri-media report)
