Two fish vendors return a lost wallet w/ cash

PASUQUIN, Ilocos Norte, Dec. 20, 2019– We heard a lot of news about honest tricycle drivers who returned valuables to the rightful owners.

This time two fish vendors also proved their virtue of honesty.

John Kevin Calairo and Lhei Ann Mercado, both of Brgy. Dilavo, this town, found a lost wallet in nearby Brgy. Divila here.

The wallet contained P3,000 cash, an ID card, and a driver’s license.

In an effort to return the wallet and its contents to the legal owner, the two fish vendors turned over the items to radio station Bombo Radyo-Laoag, which in turn, broadcast it for wide dissemination.

The owner, Benjie Menor Malapit of Baruyen, Bangui, Ilocos Norte was thankful to the two fish vendors saying that both are so honest that they did not succumb to the temptation of keeping the money for themselves. (tri-media report)
