Streetfight of two tricycle drivers in viral video

LAOAG CITY, May 25, 2020–The streetfight of two tricycle drivers here was captured in a video that went viral on social media and national television.
The incident occurred in full public view along Rizal Street in the commercial district of this city.

The brief video footage shows a heated altercation followed by the streetfight of the two drivers from Brgy. Nalbo and Brgy. Navotas, both in Laoag.

Driver A pushed hard the parked tricycle of Driver B until it fell to its side pinning the latter on the ground.

At that juncture, Driver A attacked Driver B with rapid fist blows while the latter laid on his back trying to parry the punches.

A traffic enforcer rushed to the scene and stopped the fracas.

The quarrel, according to Deputy police chief P/Major Adriano Licudan, allegedly arose from a simple misunderstanding on the road during their resumed operation after the lockdown.

P/Col. Amador Quiocho, the city police chief, said the two were apprehended and grilled at the PNP station.

He said that the two were surprised when they removed their face masks as they recognized each other as “magkumpadre” or godfathers in baptismal rites.

All is well that ends well, he said. (tri-media report)
