PAOAY, Ilocos Norte, July 3–Roderick Labii died while his companions Jerold Domingo, the driver, and Daryll Bungcayao were injured when the Sports Utility Vehicle Fortuner they were riding in met an accident along the Suba-Balacad road, police said.
Capt. Eddie Suyat, town police chief, said Domingo, the driver, lost control of the vehicle causing it to turn turtle several times.
The ill-fated SUV was a total wreck.
Investigation showed that the victims came from Laoag City and were on their way home at dawn to their residence at Brgy. Nagbacalan, this town when the road accident occurred.
Edwin Domingo quoted his son Jerold as saying that they met a big truck coming close to their path, hence, he tried to elude collision leading to the accident. (tri-media report)
