Flash flood sweeps away woman cum carabao, cart

BADOC, Ilocos Norte, Oct. 13, 2021–The cadaver of a 33-year-old woman who was allegedly swept away by a flash flood last Oct. 11 was finally found slumped between rocks when the river level receded at Brgy. Balbaldez, this town.

P/Lt. Vivina Tanacio, the town deputy police chief, said the body was positively identified by the victim’s father as that of Emily Yadao y Ancheta, married, of Brgy. Nagrebcan, this town.

Investigation showed that the victim and three companions were crossing the river homeward aboard an animal-drawn cart when the flash flood occurred under bad weather.

The strong current swept the victim away together with the carabao and cart
