LAOAG CITY, Dec. 11, 2020–A fisherman, 45, of Brgy. La Paz here, allegedly drowned while catching “ipon” (a seasonal tiny fish) off Brgy. Navotas, this city.
Dr. Melvin Manuel, head of the city disaster risk reduction and management office, said they rescued the victim from the sea when he was trapped in his fishing equipment while catching “ipon.”
The victim was rushed in critical condition to the hospital where he expired later. (tri-media report)
