On July 14, 2021, DTI Ilocos Norte headed by Provincial Director Rosario Q. Quodala awarded DTI Safety Seal Certificates to Robinsons Handyman- San Nicolas, Wilcon Depot-Laoag City and SM Hypermarket- Laoag City.
As of 13 July 2021, a total of eleven (11) establishments have applied through the DTI Safety Seal Microsite, nine (9) applications have been approved, and two (2) establishments are subject to reassessment.
The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with StaySafe.ph.
DTI encourages the following establishments to apply for the Safety Seal Certification:
•Supermarkets, Groceries, Convenience Stores
•Membership Shopping Clubs
• Construction Supply, Hardware Stores
•Logistics Service Providers
• Barbershops and Salons
• Service and Repair Shops
