CAMP JUAN, Laoag City, Dec. 14, 2020– A man who was detained for alleged illegal logging and violation of the Chainsaw Act escaped from police custody at Pagudpud PNP station on Sunday, Dec. 13, a camp official said.
P/Col. Randy Baoit, the deputy provincial director for operations of the INPPO, confirmed the report on the escape incident.
Initial investigation showed that the detainee was called to have his meal at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday but later, he was reported missing before noontime.
A massive police manhunt was immediately launched to track down the escapee and bring him back to face the charges against him. (tri-media report)
