An honest tricycle driver returns student’s wallet

LAOAG CITY, May 10– A white wallet containing cash, ID cards, and USB flash drive was returned to its real owner by an honest driver of a tricycle with sidecar No. LC 0882.

Frances Navarette, a senior high student, said she was very thankful to the honest driver Mr. Loreto Alejandro who personally went to their residence at Brgy. 11, this city and returned her missing wallet with the contents all intact.

Miss Navarette told reporters that the USB flash drive stored vital data needed in her thesis so she could qualify to graduate this coming May 24.
She said her wallet was lost when she rode in a tricycle, whose sidecar number she could not remember.

Brgy. 11 Chairwoman Bernardine “Jing” de Leon, in her Facebook comment, said the honest driver Loreto Alejandro, who went around her barangay so he could return the lost-and-found wallet to its owner, deserves due recognition and honor for doing the good deeds worthy of emulation.

It was learned that Mr. Alejandro, 49, single, works as a tricycle driver for five years now to support his 84-year-old mother. (g.a./tri-media report)
