Two jilted lovers commit suicide in twin incidents

PASUQUIN, Ilocos Norte, July 27, 2020– A 48-year-old farmer allegedly ended his life by hanging himself at Brgy. Susugaen, this town.

Deputy police chief, Lt. Jimmy Aganon said that the victim was found hanging at the family house of his live-in partner.

Investigation showed that the victim went to his live-in partner’s house to fix their shaky relationship and to bring her home to his residence at Brgy. 2 Poblacion here.

Sensing that the victim was tipsy, the woman declined to go home with him which made him desperate and jilted.

Meanwhile, an alleged lesbian, 28, believed to be a jilted lover, was discovered hanging in a small hut in front of his house at Brgy, 16, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, a village official report said on July 26.

Brgy. Chairman Federico Simpliciano confirmed the suicide incident in his village.

He said the victim was rushed to a nearby private hospital but attending doctors declared the victim dead on arrival.

Police investigators ruled out foul play in the two suicide incidents. (tri-media report)
