PASUQUIN, Ilocos Norte, Nov. 2, 2020–A husband was allegedly shot to death while his wife was wounded when a gunman fired at them at Brgy. Caruan here, police reported.
P/Lt. Manuel Ordonio, the town police chief, said the suspected assailant who fled the crime scene was arrested later during a pursuit operation.
Lt. Ordonio told reporters that the couple had a heated argument at Puyupoyan and later went to Brgy. Caruan with another female companion aboard an SUV Fortuner.
After the couple alighted from their vehicle leaving their companion inside, they continued their quarrel.
At this juncture, the motorcycle-riding gunman arrived and allegedly shot the victims at close range.
The fatality suffered four gunshot wounds in the body while his wife was hit in the left hand.
Investigators were looking into all angles to determine the motive of the shooting incident. (tri-media report)
