Four IFI priests get death threats

LAOAG CITY, July 13-Interim Bishop Bermillon Tagalog of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI) disclosed that four of his local priests had received death threats from unknown suspects.

In a broadcast interview here, the bishop identified the threatened priests as Fathers Randy Manicad Jr., Arvin Mangrubang, Clifford Bayug and Sherwin Saclad.

The bishop explained that the four priests have begun to get the death threats after they conducted a candle lighting activity in Laoag City last December in connection with the International Human Rights Day celebration. (tri-media report)
