BANGUI, Ilocos Norte, Dec. 24–Sixty-year-old Rudy Lagundino of this town died due to severe mauling, according to embalmer’s finding on his cadaver.

The finding showed that the victim’s body bore traces of blood clot, severe abrasion, contusion and other serious wounds inflicted by hard objects.

Police said that before his death, Lagundino told lawmen that he was allegedly mauled in Laoag City by two civilians (it turned out that the duo are alleged barangay officials).

The lawman further said that the victim was earlier held by the two barangay officials on the allegation that he was caught on the act of peeping at the neighborhood.(d.a.)
