The Laoag city government’s long-running pro-poor “Rang-ay ti Barangay” program has officially resumed this month of June.
Mayor Chevylle V. Fariñas said the three barangays in the eastern part of the city, namely: Brgys. 29, Bacsil North and Bacsil South were the first venues of the resumed Rang-ay ti Barangay.
As usual, the whole-day activity in each barangay includes free medical and dental services; milk and supplemental feeding; registration of birth, death and marriage; payment of taxes; free appraisal and assessment of properties; assistance in the registration of business; blood typing and free pap smear;
Fariñas expressed optimism that all 80 barangays in both urban and rural areas will be served well by this year’s Rang-ay ti Barangay.(Theo S. Guiang)
