LAOAG CITY (Jan. 25)– Supt. Melvin Napiloy,  city police chief, debunked a broadcast report  that he was seen “dead drunk” inside a beer house at  Brgy. 1 Discolandia here.

Contrary to the allegation that he had  a drinking spree with some friends at the said disco joint, he explained that he went to the beer houses to personally lead his men in the conduct of regular inspection on entertainment places as part of the city anti-crime activities especially the election gun ban.

He theorized that the said bad report about him might  have been fabricated by those suspects who were earlier arrested for alleged gambling activities. (Theo S. Guiang)
