LAOAG CITY, Dec. 1 – Three traffic aides are expected to face the city Disciplinary Board for allegedly violating the city traffic rules on wearing of helmet and illegal riding in trio, traffic division chief Ramelito Piedad reported.
This developed after Laoag City Mayor Michael Farinas received a copy of a photo showing the three traffic aides were riding in a single motorcycle and one of them had no crash helmet.
The trio came from a party. They were cruising the Laoag Airport Avenue aboard a motorcycle when a concerned citizen took picture of the them.
Under a city ordinance, it is strictly prohibited for three persons to ride in a single motorcycle while traversing the city streets and highways.
It also requires every motorcycle rider to wear crash helmet as head protection in case of vehicular accident.(Theo S. Guiang)
