BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte (Aug. 30) – “Tuloy ang laban. Itakder mi ti panagbalin ti Batac a syudad. We deserve to become a city.” Vice Mayor Ronald Allan Nalupta uttered the remarks as he reacted to the latest Supreme Court negative decision reversing its previous ruling that declared the cityhood of 16 new cities including Batac City. The said latest adverse decision of the High Court reiterated that new cityhood was “unconstitutional”.
Nalupta said they would appeal anew to jointly assert their right to become permanent cities.
