Tan-ok earns nearly P.5M in VIP ticket sales

The 5th Tan-ok ni Ilocano Festival of Festivals has raised almost half million pesos in VIP ticket sales, the proceeds will be used for the continued tourism and cultural development projects in Ilocos Norte, officials said.

Held last November 28, 2015 at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium, Laoag City, the Tan-ok ni Ilocano is dubbed as the largest cultural event in Northern Luzon that celebrates the province’s greatness (“Tan-ok” in Iluko), culture and tradition through showcasing each town’s festival dances.

Xavier Ruiz of the Ilocos Norte Tourism Office said that Governor Imee R. Marcos wants the proceeds of the sales of the VIP tickets to be used for the “tourism and cultural development projects in the province. .— (John Michael Mugas, PGIN-CMO)
