Leonila Ilar appeared remorseful in front of her victim during a face-to-face confrontation at the Laoag City police station here.
Ilar of Brgy. Pug-os, Sinait was arrested for allegedly stealing around P8,000 cash from her victim.
The incident occurred near the Laoag City public market.
Police said that the victim was informed by a concerned person that she was victimized by a pickpocket.
She asked for police assistance and the suspect was immediately arrested. (tsg)
