City budget officer Carlina Cumigad said the new budget had an increase of about P28 million compared to the current budget this year.
The 2013 annual budget was prepared and deliberated by the local finance committee together with the city government’s department heads and SP members in a team building meeting held in Sagada, Banaue and in Bontoc last September 20-24.
Cumigad said that after passing the annual budget by the city council, it will be forwarded for review and approval by provincial board.
It was learned that a big portion of the budget was allotted to health care including budget share for the Laoag City General Hospital.
