LAOAG CITY – Mayor Michael V. Fariñas of this city announced a new official seal of the Office of the City Mayor of Laoag which was recently approved by the Sanggunian Panlungsod.
The seal, he said, features 80 stars, an eagle, map of the city and a sun.
The 80 stars, he explained, represent the total number of barangays in Laoag, while the eagle symbolizes strength, protection, determination and vision.
He said that every city mayor’s office in the country has its own official seal, hence, he formed his own seal and sought for its approval in the city board. (Theo Guiang)
