Laoag police get new service vehicles

LAOAG CITY, Feb. 12 — The Laoag City-Philippine National Police Office is the recipient of additional motor vehicles from the City Government recently.
Mayor Michael Farinas gave five motorcycles to the city police upon the request of Police chief P/Supt. Melvin Napiloy.
Napiloy said the motorcycles will be used to enhance police field operations and crime management operations.
“Motorcycles are easier and faster to use in patrolling or going after traffic violators and criminals or making responses since it can enter narrow streets and go through rough roads. This will be used also to increase police visibility,” Napiloy said.
The Police Chief vowed to intensify the programs of the PNP such as Motor Anti-Street Crime Operations, Tourism Oriented Policy for Community Order and Protection, Police Patrol Integration System, anti-drug campaign, anti-corruption campaign, among others, for a more peaceful and safer Laoag City.
The motorcycles, according to Napiloy, will be given to police assistance centers. He also expressed gratitude to Mayor Farinas for the speedy response on his request. (ANL/CPC-PIA 1 Ilocos Norte)
