LAOAG CITY (September 27) – Laoag City chief of police Supt. Sterling Blanco said that the PNP Laoag will soon form its own Special Weapons and Tactics division.
He said that the plan, earlier proposed by Laoag City Mayor Michael Fariñas, is now being finalized.
He added that some of the police personnel assigned with the Laoag station have the necessary training already. “They just need enhancement training,” he revealed.
He also said that the PNP Laoag had already acquired the necessary tools and other equipment for SWAT. In fact, he said, the city government had donated two SWAT vans, which are now being used by the Laoag PNP Station. (Excel Guiang)
