SOLSONA, Ilocos Norte — One of the 108 mountaineers was rescued and airlifted by a Philippine Air Force (PAF) chopper after he was injured while ascending to Mount Sicapu here.
Solsona Mayor Jonathan de Lara said the victim identified as Nelson Roquero of Rosario, Cavite accidentally fell into a 20-foot-deep ravine in Mount Sicapu.
He said that the victim was flown to a hospital in Laoag City where he was immediately treated. (tsg)
