BATAC CITY, Ilocos Norte – The Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative (INEC) received the highest performance rating Green classification from the National Electrification Administration (NEA) for the last quarter of 2014.

NEA classifies the performance of electric cooperatives across the country through color coding: “Green” being the highest, followed by “Yellow-1,” “Yellow 2,” and “Red” being the lowest.

The color coding classification is the latest rating system of NEA in assessing the financial and operational performances of all the 121 electric cooperatives (ECs) in the country.
The performance assessment was based on three important parameters: technical, financial, and institutional management.

Aside from INEC, the Ilocos Sur Electric Cooperative (ISECO) also got a green color classification for the same period last year. (Freddie G. Lazaro)
